Applications of Thermal Imaging Analysis
AirRated® provides a non-invasive solution to diagnosing potential problems, verifying the performance and efficiency of installed underfloor heating systems and mitigating the risk of costly equipment failures.
The costly interruption of downtime for maintenance and inspection of mechanical plant is removed by capturing non-invasive thermal images of the moving parts, components and functions. Thermal images pick up infrared (IR) radiation (heat) and transmit the information into data.
Using Thermal Imaging, AirRated can investigate the following:
- Wear on moving parts and components
- Quick reference to spacial temperature differences
- Mechanical motor alignment and bearing wear
- Insurance underwriter satisfaction with a bi-annual thermal imaging survey report of mechanical plant
Thermal Imaging Analysis is used to examine the performance of your building's heating systems.
Using Thermal Imaging, AirRated can investigate & or provide the following:
- Quality Assurance - Confirmation of zoning control between under-floor heating manifolds and pipework distribution
- Identification of where the pipework circuits are located, minimising the risk of contractors drilling/fixing into an under-floor heating pipe
AirRated can use the Thermal Imaging camera for thermal balancing of radiator circuits, heat exchangers, and coils -for example:
- Fault finding - analysis of system deficiencies such as airlocks in hydronic systems, or crossed pipework
- Quality Assurance - pre commissioning
